Course outline

International transactions of one kind and another tend towards throwing up VAT complications, involving both hidden dangers and positive opportunities.  For those new to the subject and for those needing a detailed review, update or refresher, this course is intended to cover those areas that are likely to be encountered routinely or periodically by trading businesses and their advisers.

With this in mind, Neil’s aim in this session is to guide delegates through the principal aspects of cross-border VAT, focusing on those with the widest application.

Objectives

This course provides a useful checklist of the main areas in international VAT, including the underlying principles, which can sometimes be neglected, with a view to leaving delegates with a fresh insight into the relevant provisions.  Those involved in businesses trading internationally, or advisers with clients with such a profile, will benefit from a comprehensive coverage of the major aspects of this complex subject.
