Course Overview
This course will cover all aspects of trusts, considering what the tax advantages and pitfalls are, when they might be used and some planning aspects of the use of trusts. We will cover:
- The types of trusts
- Income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance implications of using trusts
- Practical examples of the calculation of tax for trusts
- Case studies to illustrate when trusts might be useful
- The pitfalls in using trusts and the tax cost of unravelling those which are no longer needed
