Course Overview
The last four years has been one of significant change for anyone involved in preparing financial statements, with FRS 102 and FRS 105 replacing the old UK GAAP regime. We have also recently been confronted by the FRS 102 Triennial Amendments, effective for December 2019 year ends. This course will highlight all the important and tricky bits – with particular focus on the issues affecting smaller companies.

- The triennial review of FRS 102 – key impacts on SMEs in 2019 and beyond
- FRS 105 – frequently asked questions
- Common Companies House filing issues
- FRS 102 Section 1A disclosure ‘hot topics’
- FRS 102 essentials – fixed assets and provisions
- Revenue recognition – common scenarios and how to address them
- Current and deferred tax – accounting and disclosure problem areas

About Peter Herbert
After qualifying in 1993, Peter spent a number of years in industry and now spends much of his time delivering training courses on aspects of financial reporting, auditing, company law and practice regulation, principally to accountants working in professional practice and in industry. When not training, Peter spends much of his time carrying out audit file reviews and practice assurance reviews for firms of accountants and advising them on issues of financial reporting and audit methodology.
