What are the skills needed by today’s accountants in Professional Practice?

It’s much more than just the numbers! Relationship building, communication and being able to deal with clients, colleagues, partners and junior staff are all essential business skills that professionals need to be equipped with when taking on management responsibility.

Our one-day Business Skills: Managing Others course will help you to manage more effectively at all levels, communicating assertively while building relationships. We will walk you through how to manage staff, looking at ways to delegate and coach effectively while dealing with different personality types.

Areas of learning will also include dealing with difficult situations, exploring how to manage conflict and how to communicate assertively.

You will leave equipped with the knowledge and confidence to develop your business and personal skills.

  • Use different leadership and management styles in different situations
  • Delegate effectively
  • Use a range of influencing skills effectively
  • Handle conflict and difficult situations assertively

Who is this course suitable for?

The Manging Others one-day course aimed at more experienced staff, particularly those who are about to take on responsibility for managing colleagues and clients, to help develop their business skills.

Course Speaker

This course is presented by: Nicky Clough

Nicky is a Chartered Accountant who has over 20 years’ experience in Learning and Development.  Having worked with KPMG in London in various capacities, she then worked for a major training organisation specialising in business management and strategy. She now specialises in financial and commercial awareness training and business skills coaching.
