Practical Workplace Skills
Course outline
‘For small businesses, poor financial management is the most common reason for them failing during their first year of operation.‘
When you’re managing finances, whether for your own business or an employer, you need a clear understanding of the accounting process. However, learning accounting procedures is like learning a new language and can be a complex field.
Our Basic Accounting course will give you a clear and comprehensive overview of the accounting processes, providing an understanding of the basic terminology and enabling you to develop your skills in the accounting field and work more effectively in the workplace.
We will walk you through the basic principles of double entry, bank reconciliation and trial balance, leading to the production of a Profit & Loss Account and a Balance Sheet.
Learners will complete a number of practical exercises to cement their knowledge and leave with comprehensive course materials that can be referred back to.
