White Horse offers Advanced and Higher Level Apprenticeships in Accountancy linked with the AAT Level 3 and Level 4 Diplomas and hold a contract for these with the Skills Funding Agency via the South West Association of Training Providers.

Apprenticeships are only available to those in relevant work and who meet certain eligibility criteria. White Horse welcomes enquiries from employers interested in taking on an Apprentice and school-leavers and others looking to find an Apprenticeship in Accountancy.

What is an apprenticeship?

Apprenticeships are formal, nationally recognised training programmes. As an apprentice you will have the opportunity to achieve a qualification while developing knowledge, skills and experience in the workplace.

Benefits of an apprenticeship

As an apprentice you will be employed – earning a wage, whilst benefiting from an invaluable mix of theoretical learning and practical training. An apprenticeship provides an excellent foundation for your career and may be a perfect starting place for progression to further professional qualifications and the route to becoming a Chartered Accountant.

Advanced Apprenticeship in Accounting

The Advanced Apprenticeship in Accounting consists of the AAT Level 3 Diploma plus development of your understanding of your role in the workplace and the sector in which you work. Those starting on this course would normally have achieved the AAT Level 2 certificate, have A Levels or equivalent or relevant experience.

Higher Level Apprenticeship in Accounting

The Higher Level Apprenticeship in Accounting consists of the AAT Level 4 Diploma plus a Diploma in Business Skills. The latter develops additional non-accounting skills essential to success in an office environment and teaching for this is integrated with the technical accounting teaching. Those starting on this course would normally have achieved the AAT Level 3 Diploma.
