White Horse Training provides accredited vocational training of outstanding quality which is relevant to the personal learning and employment aims of the learners and the needs of employers. A significant part of White Horse’s focus involves delivering the AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification and Apprenticeships in Accountancy.

Our funded learners need to be in relevant employment and formal teaching takes place at our classrooms in Bath on a monthly block release basis. If you need help finding an apprenticeship position, see our Apprenticeship page.

The AAT Level 2 Introductory Certificate in Accounting will prepare you for junior and entry level accounting roles by giving you a solid foundation in finance administration.

The AAT Level 3 Intermediate Diploma in Accounting helps you to master more complex financial processes, preparing you for a career in bookkeeping or further accountancy training.

The AAT Level 4 Advanced Diploma in Accounting provides you with the skills you need to become a financial team leader or set up your own practice.

Courses begin either in September or in February, although we are occasionally able to accommodate start dates at other times.

*AAT Level 2 is only run on demand. If you are interested in doing Level 2 then please contact us to discuss this further.

Our AAT and apprenticeship and achievement levels average over 90%.

Why study with White Horse Training?

White Horse is a specialist accountancy training provider that has been teaching AAT for more than 20 years and has been delivering apprenticeships in accountancy since 1995. We aim to provide high quality, accredited vocational training which is relevant to your personal employment aims, your employer’s needs and those of the local economy.

Because we are accountancy specialists and we work very closely with firms of accountants we know which skills you need to succeed in the workplace.

We pride ourselves on the quality of our teaching, and on the help, support, information and advice we give to students. This is reflected in our outstanding success rates in both AAT and apprenticeships.

Excellent teaching

Our team of tutors are highly qualified and experienced instructors, who are dedicated to ensuring that you successfully complete the programme, succeed in your own personal learning aims and earn the right to put Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (MAAT) after your name.

Additional training courses

White Horse also runs a series of Practical Training Courses (PTCs) which complement the AAT/apprenticeship programme and students attend as required. The programme covers essential technical office skills, including: accounting, auditing, bookkeeping, PAYE, taxation, Sage and VAT.

Career progression

Many of our learners go on to study for further professional qualifications with one of the major accountancy bodies such as ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA or specialise in tax. Others have further progressed and are now partners or managers in professional accountancy firms; whilst others have moved on to financial management roles in industry or commerce.

White Horse takes a personal and considered approach to each student’s progress and welfare, rather than just focussing on test scores and results.
